Teeth Brushing
Cala is becoming more and more independent these days. Tonight she took matters into her own hands and brushed her teeth. I was pretty impressed by how well she did. And I'm not sure where she learned to spit like that!

My first job!
After 5 years of undergraduate school, 1 year of unpaid work as a dietetic intern, countless papers and tests, many missed hours of sleep, and quite a few tears....I took the registered dietitian exam and passed! (That was about a year ago) Then came the challenge of finding a flexible part-time job...and I finally did. Today was my second day of work. It's sad to be away from Cala, but I have such good friends that are watching her, and I know they are taking great care of her. Anyways, it's so super cool to have my own desk, voice mail, and email. Today someone called me for a recommendation about the amount of Ensure a patient should be receiving, and I told them what I wanted her to be getting. Then I wrote a recommendation to the doctor about it and got to sign Adrienne, RD. It was the coolest!

Backyard Fun
This week the weather has finally gotten nice, so Cala and I have been spending more time in the backyard. We had a pretty good time until Cala discovered fun with dirt. I hate dirt and being dirty, and I also hate it when Cala is dirty. I managed to calm down the OCD a bit to let her have some fun. However, after seeing how dirty she got today, I think we'll have to find other outside activities that don't involve throwing dirt everywhere and rubbing it in the eyes. That made for quite the tearful cleanup that I hope not to repeat... ha, we'll see how that goes!

Prints for sale
Mark and I needed some art to put on one of our bedroom walls, so we painted it ourselves! It turned out really good, if I do say so myself. I have mostly Mark to thank for that, he's taken lots of art classes and I am good at staying in the lines when I paint. Mark's brother thought we had bought them at somewhere like Target...so we're thinking we should sell prints in different color schemes...any buyers :)
